Ten little free workers in this country fine and lair.
But if you cherish your freedom--worker have a care/
Ten little free workers--Reddy was doin9 fine
Until the socialists 9ot him--then there were nine.
Nine little free workers lauqhed at Reddy's fate
Along came federal medicine--then there were
eight.
Eiqht little free workers thouqht this country heaven
But the government took over the railroads, then there were seven.
Seven little free workers--'till the miners qot in a fix.
Uncle said coal's essential and took over lavinq six.
Six little free workers 'till the day did arrive
The steel mills too were federalized--then there
were five.
Five little free workers--but the farmers are free no more
The farms have been collectivized--that /eaves only/our.
Four little free workers tilI the government did decree
All must have free legal advice--then there were three.
Three little free workers--the number is qettin9 few,
But with government groceries selling food--then there were two.
Two little free workers--our story's almos! done,
With clerks at work in federal stores--that leaves 0¥ one.
One little free worker--the reporter son.oba.qun
Mustn't crit'icize government--so now there are none.
Ten little workers--but they are no longer tree
They work when and where ordered, and at a fixed rate you see,
And it all cou/d have been prevented if they'd only seen fit to agree
And work together instead of saying "it never can happen fo reel"

DON. HALCROW SAYSo..
"LET'S CUT OUT the WASTE
IN STATE GOVERNMENT"
I. Let's Save the Taxpayer's Dollar
From top to bottom, beginning with the Governor's office, Don
Halcrow will go through the departments in the state capitol . ..
retaining the essential services that North Dakota citizens must
have.., eliminating the ':frills" they don't need . . . and ving
money for evory taxpayor.
2. Let's Get Rid of "FAT" in the Highway Depart-
ment
Under the present Democrat governor, the North Dakota Highway
Department has become the "home" of every Democrat political
worker seeking a soft job. As a result, the governor has increased
the Highway Department payroll by $1,642,0001 This is a great
way to build a political machine at taxpayers' expense.., but Don
Halcrow believes it's time to return the Highway Department to
the principles of sound business managementl
3. Let's Put Leadership in the Governor's Chair
Much-needed legislation is impossible to achieve unless the governor
cooperates. Don Halcrow, working with a team of Republican state
officers and a Republican legislature, will provide the leadership
and cooperation that the state has lacked for the past four years.
